¡@¡@Originally a place under the sea, Yeliou was elevated from the ocean when two tectonic plates pushed against each other more than 20 million years ago. Rocks of interesting shapes in this place are the result of millions of years of erosion by sea and sand. These rocks of different shapes stimulate visitors¡¦ imagination, such as the mushroom rocks, beehive rocks, ginger rocks and rock trenches.
¡@¡@In the Scenic Area, one can choose to visit Yeliou Sea World on the right-hand side to see the excellent performance of dolphin and sea lion and observe all kinds of fishes by walking through the submarine tunnel. When you leave the Sea World and walk towards the cape, you will be amazed by the geological wonder. Rocks of various shapes welcome you at the cape, including the famous Queen¡¦s Head and the nearby Fairy Show, Earth Rock and Elephant Rock. These rocks of unique shapes have attracted numerous tourists to Yeliou. Towards the end of Yeliou Cape stands the Lighthouse. It is a bit far for tourists to walk to; hence, most would simply stand near the coast to see the Lighthouse.
