Hongdan Mountain is at the border between Ren'ai District and Xinyi District, which is only 208 meters of height above sea level. It's formerly called Twin Dragons Mountain. However, because the Japanese thought of their homeland, they planted Hongdan at the mountain; that's the origin of Hongdan Mountain. Besides, it's the highest peak of Ren'ai District, which is also the best location for climbing. Hongdan Mountain Trail can be entered from Baoming Temple. After entering the trail, trees are bushy and the styles of the trail are various. While on the Sakura blooming season, visitors can appreciate blooming Sakura on both sides. There are various colors such as white, dark red and pink. Hongdan Mountain Trail divides into the route of temple, ecology, and climbing, visitors can choose one of them based on need and physical situation.
