Since 2014, the Keelung City Government has invited indie bands to participate in the Keelung New Year’s Eve Celebration. It has successfully created the characteristics of Keelung New Year’s Eve, highlighting Keelung’s hopeful and energetic, innovative, and changeable city centripetal force. In addition to the gathering of local residents, It also attracted music fans who like indie bands to join in the grand event together, so the Keelung New Year's Eve event has become one of the first choices for the national New Year's Eve party.

In order to make it easier for people who participate in the event to return home, extra buses and trains for evacuation are thoughtfully provided by the Bus Service Administration and the Taiwan Railway Administration.
Depending on the conditions on-site, 14 city buses will depart from the bus terminal at 00:30 on January 1st, 2020. Besides, additional trains are also departed at 00:40 on January 1st, 2020 from Keelung to Shulin.
Buses for all routes will depart from the bus terminal, and passengers need to pay (full ticket NT$15, price for discount tickets varies depending on different ticket types), and you can either pay by Easy Card or coins.
