The archaeological site of the monastery at the parking lot of Ping 1st Road, Heping Island, Keelung City, the results of archaeological excavations are amazing and very fruitful. They should be the most important result of the historical site excavation in Taiwan in recent years. Entrusted by the Keelung City Cultural Affairs Bureau, the National Tsing Hua University archaeological team continued the excavation plan in 2019, and the full picture of the Todos Los Santos gradually unfolded. It can be seen from the foundation of the site that the interior and main building of the monastery, and the remains of the buttresses, estimate that the area of the monastery is more than 200 square meters, covering an area of more than 350 square meters. According to Dutch historical data, when the Dutch defeated the Spanish forces, they imprisoned more than 400 Spanish prisoners on the island in a monastery.
In addition to the excavated remains, there are European-style clasps, porcelain from China, blue and white cups, and Anping pots. The history of the site is not only the Dutch colonial period, but also the Iron Age cultural layer from 400 to 2000 years ago, and even the Yuanshan cultural layer more than 3,000 years ago.
